Ritsumeikan University, The Research and Development Institute of Regional Information (RDIRI)

Dr. Noboru Miyawaki is the former director of RDIRI, currently a project-leader of RDIRI. He holds a PhD from Waseda University and held fellowships at the Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy at the University of Hamburg, Institute of European, Russian and Eurasian Studies of George Washington University, Peace Institute of Hiroshima University, Waseda University, and stayed as a residence-in-researcher at the OSCE Prague Office.

Since 2004 he has been associate professor at Ritsumeikan University, Kyoto, after eight years' work as an assistant and associate professor of Matsuyama University. Since 2011, he has been professor of Ritsumeikan University, Osaka, and he is an editor of Journal of Policy Science (Ritsumeikan University), co-editor of New Global Public Policy (Koyo-shobo), and has been the Secretariat of the Japan Association of Global Governance since 2012.
