Edward M Kennedy Institute for Conflict Intervention at NUI Maynooth

The Edward M Kennedy Institute for Conflict Intervention builds capacity for constructive approaches to conflict at all levels in society. We support practitioners and policy-makers by providing rigourous taught programmes, conducting and disseminating pertinent research and by creating opportunities for dialogue in our specialist fields of interest.

The Kennedy Institute is also the Irish member of Executive Academic Board of the European Security and Defence College and provides support to European mediation capacity-building by providing mediation-related training to public servants and actors under Common Foreign and Security Policy of the European Union. The Institute has recently launched a bi-annual, online journal covering all aspects of mediation, restorative practices and conflict intervention.
