Presentation of RISK Study at Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, Bern, 12 June 2019

On 12 June, Dr. Wolfgang Zellner (IFSH), Dr. Marc Finaud (GCSP) and Dr. Hajo Schmidt (PRIF/HSFK) presented the RISK study* at the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs in Bern. The event was facilitated by Dr. Lisa Watanabe and Benno Zogg from the Center for Security Studies at the ETH Zurich. The presentations were met with great interest. Discussions quickly focused on how to broaden support for conventional arms control in Europe, in particular in the Baltics and Poland, and on which ideas might be brought to the OSCE in the short term. It was particularly encouraging that young female diplomats made up three quarters of the EDA auditorium.
